What Youll Do

  • Own the Sales Cycle:From cold outreach to closing youll consult with businesses to deliver custom print and digital media campaigns.
  • Manage Book of Business:Youll be assigned existing clients who trust their marketing to The Times Union Media Group. You will work closely to insure we are delivering for our clients as well as upselling them with additional solutions to strengthen further our relationships.
  • Build Client Relationships:Serve as a trusted marketing advisor by understanding client goals and recommending solutions across a host of solutions including; Content Marketing SEO display social media programmatic print and more.
  • Drive New Business:Prospect new leads through networking cold calling email campaigns and community engagement.
  • Leverage CuttingEdge Tools:Use advanced sales platforms likeChatGPT Enterpriseandto increase efficiency improve messaging and shorten your sales cycle.
  • Collaborate for Success:Work closely with account managers and internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Track Performance:Manage your pipeline and forecasting inSalesforce ensuring accurate revenue projections and reporting.

What Youll Bring

  • 2 years of businesstobusiness sales experience preferably in media advertising or marketing
  • A successful history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Excellent communication presentation and organizational skills
  • Selfstarter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Business or equivalent experience preferred

In accordance with applicable law Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York State. The reasonable estimate if hired in New York State is $50000 base plus commissions with on target earning potential of $75000 $110000 annualized based on individual performance. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York State. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York State the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidates starting salary will be based on a number of permissible nondiscriminatory factors including but not limited to skills and experience training certifications and education.
