Night Owl Dispatch Maestro Wanted: Join Our Graveyard Crew at AmTran Courier Services!
Are you a night owl with exceptional organizational and communication skills AmTran is seeking a reliable and detailoriented individual to join our team as a Graveyard Dispatcher. As a crucial member of our operations you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of packages during the overnight hours. Currently seeking to fillFriday & Saturday nights 8:45pm 8:45am and Sunday nights 8:45pm 7:15am.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch Coordination: Efficiently coordinate the dispatch of delivery drivers throughout the graveyard shift ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Route Optimization: Strategically plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with delivery drivers providing necessary instructions and updates on route changes or delays.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the delivery process working collaboratively with drivers and other team members.
Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries or concerns regarding deliveries during the overnight hours providing professional and effective solutions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules route changes and any incidents that occur during the graveyard shift.
*Some driving may be necessary!
Requirements:
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics operations preferably in a courier or delivery service setting.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with routing software and dispatch systems is a plus.
- Availability to work overnight hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to swap shifts with MonThurs Graveyard Dispatcher.
