Job Description

Terrapin is looking for a Supervisor to join our growing company. As a Clinton County cannabis company Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator and processor of highquality medical and recreational cannabis products with plans to open a retail footprint in Pennsylvania. With over 15 years of industry experience Terrapin was licensed to operate in the Pennsylvania marketplace in 2017 growing to more than 135 employees. Retail expansion plans in Pennsylvania have created a need for a Shift Supervisor.


The Supervisor is a facilitator and assistant to the management team who must lead by example and work directly with patrons and staff to ensure that business is being conducted in a compliant and effective manner. Shift Supervisors report directly to the General Manager concerning issues surrounding policy procedures and daily operation. The Supervisor serves as an intermediary between the floor staff and the General Manager who keeps operations running efficiently and safely. Supervisors play an integral role in making sure that the patrons of the business receive the best service Terrapin Care Station can provide by attending to issues surrounding sales or other businessrelated interactions.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager with all aspects of dispensary operations including coaching and developing the retail store team.
  • Serve as the ManageronDuty to execute all dispensary functions as directed and authorized in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
  • Assist and train staff to efficiently handle sales and provide superior customer service.
  • Effectively delegate the responsibilities and actions of the floor staff.
  • Relay changes in policies and procedures and introduce sales and specials to staff.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of all the products in the store and their safe applications.
  • Work directly with patrons to ensure quality service and resolve any product/sales issues that may arise.
  • Oversee actions and procedures to ensure that business is always conducted within the confines of compliance including the monitoring of ID/Patient Certification verification for entry.
  • Process and monitor inventory and make sure products are properly received and labeled.
  • Regularly check expiration dates packaging and labeling for integrity content and quality.
  • Work with the General Manager to develop strategies surrounding product movement and placement.
  • Communicate with the General Manager on issues of quality or risk involving employees customers and compliance.
  • Conduct product and compliance research and attend training programs and meetings to stay up to date on important changes in regulatory oversight and product development.


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be able to pass statemandated background checks.
  • Successfully complete the Department of Healths 2hour training course.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computer usage including retail pointofsale software all MS Office applications email scheduling software and online conferencing.
  • Must have experience handling processing and counting cash for daily deposits and be a creative problem solver who is able to troubleshoot and uncover cash discrepancies and errors.
  • Must be able to navigate and utilize the innerworkings of the POS system.
