Patient Volume/Census: 8700 annual visits; approximately 63 patients per day

Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: 14 ED beds (including fast track)
Trauma Level: Level IV
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff Available: No scribes mentioned
Reason for Coverage: Coverage need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Texas medical license required
Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible with Emergency Medicine experience (ABEM AOBEM ABFM ABIM accepted) ACLS ATLS PALS
Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required; Residency completion mandatory
Other Qualifications: No acceptance of ABPS board certification

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency care to approximately 63 patients daily
Manage patient flow across 14 ED beds including fast track beds
Perform required emergency procedures and interventions
Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive emergency care
