Position Summary: The campus supervisor is responsible to ensure the provision of a safe therapeutic and nurturing environment on the living units for all residents. The campus supervisor will communicate information between units and shifts to assure seamless service and cooperation in the best interest of the clients served. The campus supervisor will serve as a role model to staff and children while providing supervision to night family life specialists allowing for professional growth of staff.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the standards of a high performing team member are role modeled on a daily basis and that all supervisees are accountable to performing at the same standard.
- Attend (and assist as needed) in all required trainings supervisions and meetings as assigned or as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with staff within the interdisciplinary team as well as colleagues in other departments.
- Collaborate with Unit Coordinators in monitoring and assessing issues related to program functioning i.e. routines resident concerns treatment plans and matters involving staff.
- Provide direction to Family Life Specialist staff as needed.
- Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner meeting all standards of content and professional presentation.
- Generate and distribute facility transport schedule weekly. Ensure that all priority transports are covered. Assign transport person the primary role in meeting transport obligations. Assist the transport person as necessary in meeting these obligations. Utilize FLS and social work staff as a last option to do transports.
- Complete all employee performance evaluation in a timely manner. Document all supervisory meetings.
- Ensure that Agency standards of practice as well as State Federal and Accreditation standards are fully met.
- Provide appropriate response and follow up to all requests for assistance on campus. Deploy staff as necessary to address supervision concerns on campus.
- Ensure there exists a safe secure and functional living environment for children and work environment for staff. Work to maintain such quality of life standards as a Children s Home employee.
- Ensure continuity of personnel fully competent in achieving objectives through effective selection development training evaluation and motivation of supervisees.
- Complete random rounds of campus residential programs to ensure safety security and supervision.
- Responsible for weekly supervisory meetings and documentation of such. Supervise facility transport person. Meet weekly with him/her and document these meetings. Meet with your supervisor weekly.
- Maintain contact with oncall personnel as required. Inform supervisor of any issues of concern in a timely manner. Maintain ongoing open communication with all supervisees as well as all other Children s Home staff (and residents) as necessary.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience:
- 3 years experience in childcare mental health social services environment required
- 1 year supervisory experience preferred
- Drivers License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
