Job Description
This is a remote position.
- Payment Processing: Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients into the billing system.
- Denials Management: Identify review and resolve claim denials or discrepancies working closely with payers as needed.
- AR Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed AR reports to track outstanding balances payment trends and resolution progress.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile daily weekly and monthly payment records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- FollowUp: Proactively follow up on unpaid or partially paid claims escalating issues when necessary.
- Communication: Collaborate with the billing team to ensure all claims are submitted and processed on time.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to healthcare billing regulations confidentiality standards and HIPAA guidelines.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing preferably in urgent care or similar settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance claim processes AR management and denials resolution.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external payers.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to analyze and resolve billing and payment discrepancies efficiently.
- Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g. CPC CPB).
- Experience working with urgent care billing systems.
- Familiarity with payerspecific guidelines and denial codes.
