The Research Compliance Coordinator under general supervision provides preliminary protocol review and provides responses to questions and concerns from investigators administrators and others.
Responsibilities:
Consults and advises faculty staff and students in the preparation of protocols based on knowledge of guidelines and Federal regulations for subjects in research teaching and testing in a confidential manner.
Provides preliminary review of protocols for compliance including providing recommendations to supervisor and feedback to customers.
Assists in the development of training materials and conducts regulatory training.
Works closely with supervisor in the development or modification of rules standard operating procedures (SOPs) and office processes.
Reviews and updates SOPs.
Provides committee meeting coordination including completion of minutes and ensuring inclusion of appropriate regulatory language and addressing committee stipulations.
Prepares reports and performs administrative audits as required.
Manages daily tasks of the electronic protocol management system.
Monitors committee email inbox and coordinates with other offices and programs.
Provides expertise in research and training investigators and committee members in compliance guidance.
Communicates with and provides timely responses and information related to compliance reviews including issues of noncompliance.
Responds to questions regarding the compliance program.
Monitors document submissions reports and participates in quality control monitoring and maintains records.
Serve as a backup for Export Controls.
Coordinate the Dive Safety Board.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or higher in related field.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Familiarity with Research Compliance.
Working in academic settings.
