Job Description
The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) Level 1 shall have full oversight of the safety program initiatives at CMIs customer site in Wilmington NC. Requirements for this role are set by the EM 38511 Safety and Health Requirements Manual.
Key Job Functions
- Oversight and implementation of the Accident Prevention Plan
- Prepare and enforce the client safety program
- Conduct personnel and equipment inspections daily
- Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite
- Conduct mishap investigations
- Maintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsite
- Attend preconstruction conference pre work meetings and three phase inspection meetings
- Other safety related duties as required by the contract
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- At least (5) five years of cumulative safety experience within the past 10 years managing or implementing a SOH program on a project of similar type size and complexity as CMIs customer project.
- Current OSHA 30hour general industry or construction safety training
- 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related training within the past 5 years
- Ability to speak read and comprehend English to effectively perform these job functions and comply with installation emergency procedures
