Candidate Profile
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team in the US. The Senior Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our US entities managing our US accounting service provider and supporting key business activities. This role will work closely across the company and reports directly to the Senior Director Finance with a dottedline reporting to our parent companys Finance department. It involves a combination of strategic and operational responsibilities including planning financial management forecasting reporting process improvement as well as support for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence (DD) and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Keep an accurate count of the books including ensuring US accounting procedures are being followed; manage the Accounting/Bookkeeping software.
- Manage all flows of AP/AR payments; review invoices and Master Service Agreements to ensure payment accuracy and proper bookkeeping.
- Liaise with tax authorities and corporate filing offices across the US; liaise with accounting firms and relevant parent company (ParentCo) staff members to ensure proper communications and reporting.
- Resolve all accounting and bookkeeping issues and assist in matters related to the US Group at the Inc. level (e.g. funding agreements etc.)
- Administer the Companys bank accounts and serve as primary liaison to bank personnel; liaise with ParentCos Cash Management division for any requests for information.
- Support M&A transactions as it relates to tax and invoicing issues; liaise with external and internal stakeholders to deconflict tax issues review invoices and obtain tax and payment information.
Budgeting & Controlling
- Assist Sr. Director with all budgeting and controlling matters for the Company including: keeping precise track of cash expenditures and forecasting cash needs; work across departments to ensure budgetary breaches do not occur.
- Provide support in leading the annual Operational Expense (OPEX) and Development Expense (DEVEX) budget review; perform capital/cash analysis and report historical current and forecasted budget figures to stakeholders.
- Calculate and drawdown cash capital from HQ and report cash positions to stakeholders; actively monitor for cash needs across the Company.
Corporate Operations
- Ensure proper and timely filing of corporate documents for projects including LLC formation documents Good Standing Certificates and other filings that affect the Project Companies.
- Create and maintain new LLC documents and serve as primary liaison to ParentCo for organizational reporting; work with legal advisors and other 3rd parties to deconflict any filing issues.
- Liaise with corporate vendors (e.g. OPEX software) negotiate terms and conditions and keep department heads notified on contract renewals and other relevant vendor information.
Administrative Support
- As requested notarize and prepare Company documents including land option agreements bonding forms and other official documents.
- Support the Company as requested in other administrative tasks including in human resources and events management.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in finance management accounting or a related role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proven experience managing thirdparty accounting and tax service providers and coordinating with external auditors.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
- Experience with M&A activities due diligence a plus.
- Background in Energy Oil & Gas or Real Estate industries preferred.
- Proven experience with accounting system transitions; experience with QuickBooks and MS Dynamics 365/Business Central is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
