Job Description

  • Perform routine analysis on both juice and wine samples including but not limited to: TA pH FSO2 Brix Malic Acid YAN Acetic Acid
  • Monitor fermentations daily and record Brix/Temperature readings
  • Alert winemaking team of any struggling fermentations
  • Keep fermentation logs updated in an accurate and timeefficient manner
  • Assist vineyard intern with fruit analysis as needed
  • Assist production team in cellar as needed

Qualifications :

  • Previous lab experience is a plus but not required
  • Flexible and willing to work varying shifts overtime and weekends
  • Fulltime availability (4050 hours a week) from early August through early November or until harvest is completed
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Verbal and written English skills preferred but not required
  • Applicants must be able to perform basic math calculations. Good organization with numbers is also critical for accurate record keeping
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions as well as dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Work is in an industrial setting with forklift traffic and public tour groups.  Employees are also exposed to weather conditions. Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour (plus potential overtime). Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
