Job Description

The Patient Care Technician after a supervised orientation is responsible to a RN and/or another licensed professional.  He/she delivers patient care within their scope of practice in addition to routine certified nursing assistant and/or unit secretary duties is trained to do basic rhythm interpretation to use specialty equipment and to assist in procedures.  The Patient Care Technician delivers care within their scope of practice under the direction of an RN and/or another licensed professional.


Qualifications :

What is required...

  • Basic Nursing Assistant class; current Washington State NAC license;
  • Current CPR card (maintenance required);

What is preferred...

  • Six months experience as an NAC


Additional Information :

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $19.80/hour and goes up to $31.85/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience.

This position is also eligible to receive additional compensation when working certain hours.  Evening shift (3p 11p) $2.00/hour; night shift (11p 7a) $3.00/hour; weekends $3.00/hour. 

FTE:  .90 36 hours/week

Shift:  Primarily Days (7:00a7:00p)

Benefits:  This position is benefits eligible 

Union Status:  This is a Teamsters Union covered position
