Job Description
Turner & Townsend Heery is looking for exceptional individuals to support project management commissions based out of our Atlanta office.
The purpose of this position is provide a student an opportunity to be introduced and gain experience in the role of a project manager working on public improvement projects.
The intern will report to an assigned Construction Project Managers and will provide support to the project management staff in their everyday roles.
Responsibilities:
- Build working relationship across the project and client team including general contractors architects and other consultants.
- Balance the needs of various internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in managing the scope schedule and budget of small projects.
- Participate in a public procurement process for a construction project to learn about public sector procurement requirements and the role of business processes in project delivery.
- Participate in the coordination of multidisciplinary design efforts to learn about working with contracted design professionals (architects and engineers) from an owners perspective.
- Assist project managers with site walks reviews of drawings documents and other key construction project management tasks to learn about fundamental project management professional skills and career paths.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in construction Engineering Project Management Quantity Surveying Data Analytics and/ or equivalent.
- The tenacity and drive to inject value and create solutions.
- Develops good working relationships with project teams/ external project stakeholders.
- Good organization skills ability to multitask and be a team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information :
The salary range for this fulltime internship role is$20/hr$25/ are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
