Job Description
Job Summary:
The Product Costing Estimator is responsible for analyzing and estimating the production cost of formwork components and systems. The role involves evaluating material usage production processes labor and overhead to provide accurate and competitive cost assessments to support pricing budgeting and decisionmaking processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed product cost estimates based on design drawings BOMs and production plans.
- Analyze production workflows and identify cost drivers for various formwork components.
- Collaborate with Design Production and Procurement teams to gather data on materials labor and machine usage.
- Review and update standard costing models and ensure accuracy in pricing for new and existing products.
- Track and analyze cost variances between estimated and actual production costs.
- Support new product development (NPD) with preliminary costing during design and prototyping stages.
- Evaluate and compare supplier quotations for raw materials and outsourced processes.
- Maintain costing records and pricing databases for reference and audit purposes.
- Assist in setting standard costs and support periodic product cost reviews.
- Provide costing input for budgeting forecasting and commercial tenders.
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Manufacturing Finance or related field.
- Minimum 34 years of experience in product costing or manufacturing cost analysis.
- Strong knowledge of production processes material flow and manufacturing overheads.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Analytical detailoriented and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
