Job Description

1) participation in analysis planning the work of the Division;

2) supervision of a unit of staff united within the scope of specific tasks and academic programs of Nazarbayev University (hereinafter the University) within the Division (hereinafter the unit);

3) admission and enrollment of applicants to the University;

4) administration of the unit through coordination of timely execution of tasks analysis and submission of suggestions on optimization of processes decision making on the activities of the unit and supervised programs;

5) planning of unit activities and bearing responsibility for execution;

6) representing interests of the unit at various meetings and events within the authority allocated by the Head of the Division;

7) coordination and maintenance of the Divisions section on the official website of the University according to the requirements for admission to the academic programs of the University;

8) maintenance of statistics on admission and enrolment processes within the competence;

9) making proposals for improvement of admission and enrollment of applicants to the University programs;

10) undertaking the analysis planning and maintenance of work on automatization improvement and optimization processes of the online application for admission to the University selection and enrollment processing statistical data of the applicants;

11) participation in promotion of the academic programs and recruitment events in order to attract applicants to the University programs within the Divisions competence;

12) interaction with foreign partners on standardized tests;

13) work with requests from the Universitys structural units timely responses to letters and appeals from the citizens partners and third parties within the competence of the Division;

14) interaction with government authorities and educational organizations within the competence of the Division;

15) interaction with structural divisions of the University and making independent decisions on the admission of students within her/his unit;

16) implementation of assistance to the Head in coordinating the work of managers of the unit responsible for admission to the corresponding University programs;

17) coordination of Admission Committees work defined within the units framework;

18) maintenance check and correction of applicants data in electronic database;

19) undertaking the crosschecking of processed application packages after units staff;

20) holds access to confidential data of applicants managed by the unit and carrying responsibility for its coordination and safety;

21) participation in the development of normative documents of the University within the competence;

22) participation in identification evaluation management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised unit;

23) maintenance the confidentiality of information concerning the personal data of applicants/students the activities of the University except where such disclosure is required in the work of the Division within the competence and/or upon the instructions of the management of the University;

24) carrying responsibility for keeping the personal files of applicants safe before transferring to the relevant structural division of the University;

25) informs the Head in a timely manner of possible risks threats appearance of extraordinary situations for timely preventive action;

26) upgrades the qualifications in accordance with the job description;

27) timely and proper fulfillment of orders of the Head and the University management;

28) observe the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Universitys internal documents;

29) is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline of the unit;

30) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official document and disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information as well as information of restricted distribution which shall not be disclosed according to the requirements of the legislation Charter and internal documents of the University;

31) in case of dismissal is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation digital information inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptancetransfer).


Qualifications :

 

Education:

Higherprofessional preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction; Preferably a masters degree.

Priority specializations: Educational Management; Technical; Humanities; Science.

 

Work experience:

Required work experience is six years with Bachelor/Specialist degree or four years with Masters degree in the corresponding filed.

At least three years of professional experience in public commercial administration or international organizations or in the field of higher education and/or nongovernmental organization focused on students affairs mainly in areas specified in the section of functional tasks is preferable

 

Knowledge:

knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

knowledge of MS Office Excel PowerPoint;

fluent in English Kazakh Russian.

 

Skills:

skills in working with databases and large amounts of data;

analytical skills (to utilize information from different sources to make a forecast on the basis of available data analysis of the activities carried out development of an effective activity plan);

people and team management skills;

presentations skills;

wellbred speech and communication skills;

reports and policy briefs preparation skills;

problemsolving skills (professional assessment);

policy adjustment skills.
