Job Description
Sika is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join its growing team based in Madison Heights Michigan.
The Supply Chain Specialist at Sika will play a key role in: planning to manage forecasting and inventory planning for a diverse product portfolio. This role will have a primary focus on imported products requiring strong coordination with international suppliers logistics partners and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal stock levels and seamless supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data market trends and business insights.
- Analyze demand patterns and adjust forecasts to align with market conditions promotional activities and seasonality.
- Collaborate with sales marketing and finance teams to refine demand projections.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by balancing demand with supply constraints lead times and warehouse capacity.
- Monitor stock levels identify potential shortages or overages and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
- Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to manage imported goods ensuring timely replenishment.
- Manage relationships with global suppliers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
- Track and optimize international shipping schedules customs clearance and transit times to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import processes and compliance with regulations.
- Analyze key supply chain metrics (e.g. forecast accuracy inventory turnover lead times) and recommend improvements.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track demand trends inventory performance and supplier reliability.
Qualifications :
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field is preferred
- Experience in Supply Chain Management
