We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Laundry Technician to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha Qatar. As a Laundry Technician you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing laundry equipment to ensure smooth operations in our facility. This position requires a combination of technical expertise problemsolving skills and a commitment to efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on various laundry equipment including washing machines dryers and steamers.
- Inspect and diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical laundry equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty parts such as motors heating elements bearings and belts.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and service reports.
- Ensure all laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with company and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine checks to prevent breakdowns and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts.
- Work closely with the housekeeping team to minimize disruptions during operations.
- Assist in training operational staff on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain a stock of essential spare parts to reduce downtime.
- Participate in afterhours oncall duty as required.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in laundry equipment maintenance preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment brands and their operations.
- Understanding of electrical wiring systems related to laundry operations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel engineering maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
