The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Systems Senior Manager (Level L) to join our BCA Long Beach Engineering team located in Long Beach CA.
Position Overview:
This leadership position will manage employees and firstlevel managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Electrical Systems Design in the Aircraft Systems Group reporting through the Engineering Functional Organization. The Electrical Systems Design Group supports a variety of customers including Boeing Commercial Aircraft production programs Boeing Global Services commercial aircraft modifications and passenger to freighter conversions.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead their department in developing integrated departmental plans and business strategies including leading employee development plans work assignments technical strategies goals and objectives.
Be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers other Boeing Business Units peers partners and direct reports.
Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.(Long Beach CA)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
2 years of experience as a Manager leading engineering teams
3 years of experience working with commercial aviation aircraft certification and/or validation processes and procedures
10 years of experience in aerospace electrical engineering aircraft systems/or avionics engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience leading Electrical System design and development activities
Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.
Demonstrated ability in team building coaching and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to all stakeholders.
Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.
