Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer- Automation

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization System Programmer to join our team focusing on driving automation innovation through Mainframe transformation and infrastructure modernization.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role

• Strategy Development: Create and implement a modernization strategy for Mainframe Infrastructure that enhances innovation automation productivity and efficiency including z/OS/ISV upgrades PTF management and AIOps.
• Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to Sysprogs on Mainframe modernization and migration to the latest tools such as z/OSMF Watson X for z AIOps Ansible Python and upgrade workflows.
• Opportunity Identification: Utilize extensive knowledge of Mainframe architecture to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Sysprogs SDMs vendors and clients to maximize the use of our capabilities and services.
• Business Development: Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends competitor activities and market developments related to Mainframe strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Over 10 years of technical expertise as a z/OS SysProg with a focus on Mainframe transformation IBMi modernization and generative AI. Strong knowledge of cuttingedge technology solutions and implementation methodologies.
• Upgrade Process Knowledge: Indepth understanding of the z/OS and ISV upgrade processes via z/OSMF.
• Modernization Tools: Familiarity with Mainframe infrastructure modernization tools including z/OSMF AIOps WatsonX for z ZOWE upgrade workflows Ansible and Python.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Mainframe technology or related fields.
• Project Management: Experience managing complex projects and strategic partnerships.
• Global Experience: Background in working within a global organization with a diverse customer and partner base.

As of the date of this posting a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80000 to $148000 annually based on a fulltime schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills experience internal equity and business needs. In addition to base salary other compensation programs depending on eligibility include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
