Job Description

Seller Fulfillment Technology (SFT) team located in Bangalore is looking for an SDE3 to deliver strategic goals for Amazon ecommerce systems. This is an opportunity to join our mission to build tech solutions that empower sellers to delight the next billion customers. You will be responsible for building new system capabilities grounds up for strategic business initiatives. We are looking for an SDE3 to design and build our tech stack as a coherent architecture and deliver capabilities across marketplaces. We operate in a high performance agile ecosystem where SDEs Product Managers and Principals frequently connect with end customers of our products. Our SDEs stay connected with customers through seller/FC visits and customer anecdotes. This allows our engineers to significantly influence product roadmap contribute to PRFAQs and create disproportionate impact through the tech they deliver. As a senior SDE you will operate as a technical leader within the team and will independently define the architecture for the Next Gen solutions that directly improve the experiences of the selling partners. You will also influence the technical direction of other teams both within the SFT org and outside. This is a great opportunity to tackle some very interesting and complex problems innovate in the space and drive product direction. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and orally) and work well in a team are key competencies. A successful candidate will have an extensive background in building highly scalable highly available services strong technical skills a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment high creativity and great analytical reasoning skills. If you enjoy cutting through ambiguity creating strategic paths and obsessing over efficiency this opportunity will be a good fit.



Key job responsibilities

7 years of noninternship professional software development experience
7 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

7 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
