Responsibilities
Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign applicable medical codes.
Utilize Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes for IP/OP services.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory guidelines and billing requirements.
Maintain updated coding books and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify documentation.
Participate in coding audits and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
Assist in resolving any codingrelated issues that impact the billing process.
Qualifications
2 Years of experience in E&M Coding (IP/OP)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential with Apprentice status removed
Proven experience in E&M coding for inpatient and outpatient services.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology.
Familiarity with healthcare billing and compliance standards.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
