Ontario Health is on a mission to modernize the health care system and the Provincial Genetics Program (PGP) is at the forefront of this initiative. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive coordinated evidencebased genetic services for Ontarians. Collaborating extensively with other Ontario Health programs and external stakeholders we aim to make a significant impact on the health care landscape.
This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to support the development and implementation of various PGP initiatives. As an Analyst you will play a crucial role in research and analysis to understand the current state of genetic testing and support the development of key performance indicators for systemwide evaluation. You will also provide project program and operational support as required by the PGP.
Here is what you will be doing:
Analyze Ontarios clinical and laboratory guidelines/practices for genetic services.
Conduct literature searches environmental scans and needs assessments summarizing content in various formats.
Work with the Sr. Specialist to analyze data from multiple sources to inform the development of evidencebased guidance documents.
Develop and evaluate key performance indicators.
Identify and appraise emerging genetics technologies and practices.
Facilitate project aspects such as stakeholder communication minutetaking driving agendas and collaborative input.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external partners.
Manage incoming inquiries and triage requests ensuring timely accurate and confidential handling.
Assist in developing and distributing communication materials facilitating knowledge transfer and exchange.
Support the development and tracking of project/program/operational plans.
Coordinate program activities monitor tasks milestones and expenses.
Provide support in establishing mapping and communicating processes.
Perform other related duties as required.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
An undergraduate degree (masters degree is an asset) in health administration health sciences health services research public administration or associated field or recognized equivalent.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of related work experience.
Experience conducting systematic reviews and developing guidelines is an asset.
Experience with healthcare datasets is an asset.
An understanding of Ontarios healthcare system with particular emphasis on genetic testing and/or clinical genetics services is an asset.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook); experience with Project Visio and/or SharePoint would be an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong project management skills adept at prioritizing multiple initiatives in a crossfunctional environment while meeting deadlines and adapting to evolving timelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to craft briefing notes reports and evidence summaries effectively.
Versatile team player capable of working collaboratively while also excelling independently engaging seamlessly across all levels of an organization.
Relationshipfocused skilled at building trust credibility and respect with key stakeholders.
Highly organized and detailoriented with a proactive motivated approach to responsibilities.
