We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to design implement and maintain secure highperforming network infrastructure. This role involves handson configuration and optimization of networking hardware continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of system performance and ensuring cybersecurity through robust threat prevention strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Network Design Configuration and Optimization
- Design configure and deploy reliable scalable and secure network infrastructures including LAN WAN VPNs and wireless networks.
- Install and configure network equipment including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for all network systems to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Plan and implement network changes and upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Maintain efficient communication and documentation of all gear for auditing purposes.
Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Monitor network performance using tools to ensure system health and to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networkrelated issues quickly and effectively escalating issues as needed to thirdparty vendors or other technical teams.
- Respond to and resolve network outages or disruptions ensuring business continuity and service restoration as soon as possible.
Project Management and Implementation
- Participate in IT projects related to network infrastructure ensuring projects are completed on time within scope and within budget.
- Develop project plans track milestones and communicate status to stakeholders and vendors.
- Evaluate new network technologies and solutions to enhance network capabilities.
Cybersecurity Web Filtering and Threat Prevention
- Oversee web filtering solutions to monitor restrict and secure internet traffic protecting users from malicious sites phishing attempts and inappropriate content. Ensuring uptodate blacklists whitelists and policies are enforced across the network.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on the network infrastructure to identify potential weaknesses.
- Analyze internet traffic patterns and identify any anomalies or suspicious activity that could indicate a security threat.
- Develop and enforce network access control policies and procedures including user authentication authorization and encryption.
- Regularly review and update web filtering policies to address emerging threats and changes in organizational needs or regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with other System Support Teams to ensure proper integration and smooth communication between network infrastructure and other technology components.
- Provide technical guidance to network & system administrators and other IT Service Desk staff on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of virtual environments cloudbased networking and hybrid networks.
Documentation and Reporting
- Create update and maintain network diagrams topologies configurations and documentation to reflect the current state of the network.
- Generate reports on network performance incidents and security findings for management review.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of network hardware and software components.
- Review rate or propose RFP material.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Technology or related field is preferred.
- 35 years of experience in network administration is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable of the following technologies or their equivalent:
- Sophos firewalls
- Ubiquiti firewalls switches and access points
- Extreme switches and access points
- Appliance and cloudbased content filtering
- Ability to travel anywhere in Oklahoma on short notice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills written skills and organization.
- Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes concisely and simply.
- Ability to selfmotivate take initiative make independent decisions and problemsolve.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read analyze and interpret internal communications financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from families or members of the business community.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students families and coworkers both verbally and in writing.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math skills required.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully an individual must have advanced Excel skills (required).
- Familiarity with Access and Google Sheets. Computer proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office and Google Suites required.
- Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
- Current drivers license and valid car insurance.
- Software specific certifications preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a statemandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made.
- Must have favorable employment references.
- CompTIA Network experience preferred.
- Wireshark experience preferred.
- Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) or equivalent preferred.

This role offers a blend of inoffice collaboration at our Assets Warehouse and the flexibility to work remotely. We value inperson teamwork and require consistent onsite presence in Oklahoma City. Travel is an integral part of this position accounting for approximately 30% of the time. Other meetings in Epic offices and public places are required. The noise level is quiet to moderately loud when students or staff are present.
