GE Appliances Commercial Development Program (CDP) is the premier development program for earlycareer sales professionals and builds the foundation for longterm commercial leadership roles within GE Appliances. CDP concentrates on the development of sales and leadership skills and provides a direct path to a fieldbased sales manager position. The duration of the development program may vary between 2.53 years. During this time participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the GE Appliances sales organization support functions and tools to build a successful sales and marketing career at GE Appliances.

How Youll Create Possibilities

The development program is made up of several key components to build strong commercial skills and business acumen:

1. Retail Inside Sales
(Builder) Inside Sales
3. Air & Water Inside Sales

4. CrossCommercial Experience (Headquarters Assignment)
5. Seminar Training Courses (weeklong general business training in year 1 and year 2)

Candidates selected for this leadership program will join GE Appliances Inside Sales team at our National Sales Center located in Louisville Kentucky as they manage and build significant Retail Contract (Builder) and Air/Water businesses. Participants are assigned sales territories that provide a variety of customer types and growth opportunities to develop sales skills and business acumen. Territories may consist of 100 customers and manage $$portfolios of annual sales.

After completing the Inside Sales assignments CDPs will move to a Headquarters Assignment (Cross Commercial Experience) for 36 months based on continuing CDP development and business opportunity. This assignment is designed for participants to gain a better understanding of the overall business industry customers and internal teams beyond the insides sales roles.

Upon completion of rotations CDP participants will interview for fieldbased Area Sales Manager (ASM) positions located across the U.S.

CDP participants are required to be geographically mobile within the United States and accept a fieldbased sales position in order to graduate from the program.

What Youll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher completed within the 24 months prior to start date

  • Cumulative GPA >3.0 (out of 4.0)

  • Geographically mobile within the United States and willing to accept a fieldbased sales position upon completion of CDP program (relocation assistance provided)

  • Have schedule flexibility to adapt to various time zone requirements in assigned territories

  • Legal authorization to work in the country/region where the business is hiring is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now nor in the future for this position

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a Sales career

  • Possess excellent communication and organization skills

  • Be selfdirected and motivated to succeed

  • Ability to develop organize and analyze sales plans

  • Ability to travel to customers on a semiannual basis
