Ferguson is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team at our Norfolk VA Pump Repair Facility!
Schedule: Monday Friday 7am 4pm plus overtime as needed
Scheduled times can be flexible
Responsibilities:
- Setup and maintain machines in the shop for pump fabrication.
- Accurately measure record and draw pump components. Example of measuring tools (Vernier Calipers Micrometer Inside Micrometers and indicators).
- Read and analyze design drawings work orders and production schedules.
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment such as VTL Horizontal Boring Machine & Lathes.
- Support teardown and assembly of pumps when machining not required.
- Observe vital safety precautions for fabrications cutting assembling stacking and shipping of equipment and parts for storage and transportation.
- Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
- May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Inside machinist experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid state issued license is .
- Ability to work with little direction while building tools or fixtures for production.
- Strong conceptual skills
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to remain resultsfocused in the fastpaced customer service environment.
- Welding experience a plus

Pay Range:
$19.47 $42.31Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
