Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Academic Coordinator Educational Talent Search. Davie FL.

The goal is to provide local employers and new employees in the area a comprehensive guide with places to live.

Minimum Qualifications:

A masters degree from an accredited institution in education; or a bachelors degree from an accredited institution in education and two years of appropriate experience required.

Ability to deal effectively with people

Ability to plan organize and coordinate work

Ability to conduct oral presentations

Ability to operate general office equipment

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in education management counseling social work administration or a related field.

Experience working with Educational Talent Search Program or other TRIO programs or other programs focused on students who are lowincome first generation or academically disadvantaged preferred.

Experience in a K12 and/or higher education setting preferred with demonstrated administrative experience with program development or project management strongly preferred.

Five or more years of experience in an educational setting and/or related experience teaching advising and/or academic support services.

Developing and providing college preparatory instruction academic advising career exploration assessment standardized testing and/or enrichment activities is preferred.

Experience reviewing or evaluating transcripts and test scores and developing and monitoring individual education plans strongly preferred.

Salary:

$44000 $47000 per year.

Work Days and Hours:

Monday Friday 8am 5pm. Some nights and weekends.

OFFICIAL SEALED TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED:

Final candidate will be required to have official sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation if applicable sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
