Job Description Summary:
The Software Engineer will provide technical leadership in the architecture design and implementation. You are an Agile problem solver and have an appetite for building and delivering innovative software solutions that delivers excellent business value to our customers. The role requires deep technology expertise advanced analysis skills a proven ability to work collaboratively with product and business development teams on product and solutions technical strategy in a communications setting.As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for driving innovation technology and solutions that support our product strategy and architecture across a technically diverse application portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining application architecture for new and innovative software solutions in a agile environment.
- Contribute towards creating highlevel design documents technical descriptions and architectural diagrams.
- Contribute to the design and development of secure scalable low latency high throughput solutions with an agile team.
- Participate in code reviews quality reviews and continuously seek improvement opportunities.
- Assist customerfacing teams in identifying pursuing and closing strategic business development opportunities.
- Participate in root cause analysis on customer issues along with the agile teams and provide solutions.
- Support in driving addon business within existing projects/products and envision technical strategy for products in the portfolio.
- Help define and refine existing corporate architectural standards and guidelines.
- Participate in architecture group meetings and activities to stay aligned with corporate standards.
- Assist in identifying and executing improvements and simplification opportunities within business systems.
- Present to audiences at various levels of the organization.
- Maintain effective relationships with product management and business development groups.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 58 years of experience in software development.
- Demonstrated capability to lead consensus on complex proposals within engineering groups as well as with other teams and outside partners.
- Ability to work with senior product management on strategic initiatives that have architectural aspects.
- Proficiency with data structures algorithms multithreading objectoriented programming and design patterns.
- Deep knowledge of Java JSON RESTful Web APIs JavaScript Webservices and Linux environment.
- Working knowledge of Java opensource frameworks (e.g. Spring Hibernate).
- Experience with relational databases data storage and principles.
- Experience building robust resilient software capable of providing high performance under heavy load.
- Exceptional analytical skills and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
