Position Description
Northeastern Junior College in Sterling Colorado invites qualified persons to apply for a part time position of Clinical Instructor for the nursing department. The position will be responsible for providing clinical instruction to first or secondyear nursing students in a variety of clinical settings to include role modeling professional behavior and assisting students in evidence based nursing care. Giving students feedback on their clinical performance and written clinical assignments on a weekly basis is an important function of this position.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide effective learning in the clinical setting
- Provide oneonone guidance in the clinical setting to meet the individual needs of the nursing student.
- Incorporate current nursing knowledge and skill in providing clinical instruction to the student nurse.
- Role model professional behavior in the clinical setting.
- Providing feedback on the students work in determining the weekly course grade.
- Attend and contribute to nursing faculty meetings.
- Provide feedback to the nursing department on the clinical evaluation tools and student clinical assignments.
- Act as a liaison with the clinical site and the nursing department to maintain a positive productive relationship for both the nursing department and the clinical site.
- Lead post conference meetings with nursing students to help them reflective on clinical experience and learn needed nursing knowledge and skill.
- Performs all other relevant duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide student feedback.
- Current nursing knowledge and skill to be able to instruct in evidence based nursing care to nursing students.
- Effective organizational and time management skills to grade students performance and written assignments in a timely manner.
What We Require:
- Bachelors degree in nursing
- A minimum of two years of full time equivalent professional nursing practice.
- A Nursing license in good standing.
- Valid Drivers license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a vocational credential required
What We Can Offer:
This is an hourly position with the hourly pay rate of $50.18$58.14. Approximately 20 hours per week with 2 eighthour shifts and 4 hours for grading. Clinical instruction days are Mondays and Tuesdays for first year students and second year students clinical days are Thursdays and Fridays.
