Join our Accounting team as a Finance Intern and gain handson experience that will kickstart your career! Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager youll take on real accounting projects that will challenge and grow your skills. Youll learn essential tasks like preparing journal entries reconciling the general ledger and managing bank activity. Plus youll play a key role in preparing quarterly financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with colleagues on special projects and initiatives
- Learn and assist Finance and crossfunctional teams on initiatives such as monthend close Flux analysis payroll journal entries and account reconciliations
- Conduct research on emerging accounting issues or new regulations to ensure compliance and best practices are followed
- Respond to quarterly financial investor requests on time
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- New Accounting Finance or Economics graduate or MBA candidate preferred. Familiarity with basic accounting concepts.
- Experience with or willingness to learn technology such as Sage Coupa and Google Suite would be advantageous
- High level functioning within spreadsheets using formulas visual basic etc to drive efficiency
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrated precision in work with a focus on producing highquality and errorfree outputs.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality when dealing with financial data.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to work at our Alameda Headquarters 5 days/week
- Operate a computer and other office equipment such as a laptop copier/printer etc in a fixed location
The starting base pay for this role is between $25/hr and $39/hr at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors such as education experience and skills. Base pay is only one part of Silas competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits perks and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for overtime.
