Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Senior Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Banks Securitized Product Group you will be pivotal in an agile team. You will be tasked with enhancing creating and delivering high quality technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Your technical prowess and problem solving abilities will be essential in making a significant business contribution and tackling a variety of challenges across diverse technologies and applications.
This is primarily a programming role.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decisionmakers to consider the use and application of leadingedge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) Java
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable indepth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern backend and frontend technologies.

- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. AWS EKS/ECS Postgres Redis Websockets) is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Trading Systems / High Frequency Low Latency Implementation / Analytics Application
