The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Department of Radiology is seeking a Patient Care Technician under direct supervision assists the members of Radiology division in provision of efficient and safe patient care. Assists IR staff with a wide variety of procedures by participating in patient preparation patient transport and room turnover. Assists with management of inventory.

The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 469000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. These stateoftheart clinical facilities will also include a fullservice community imaging center laboratory services physical therapy retail pharmacy and emergency department as well as an array of support facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community Health Care is seeking a welcoming highlyskilled and collaborative workforce to be a part of the opening team for this superb new campus and to help further our mission of:Changing Medicine. Work Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00am4:30pm
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally electronically and in writing with patients family members and health care staff.
3. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
4. Ability to provide care with regard to patient condition and age.
5. Knowledge of principles of sanitation and health hazards.
6. Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology instruments and supplies.
8. Ability to collect patient data and maintain accurate records.
9. Knowledge of keyboarding and computer data entry skills.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read write and follow instructions.
