Your role
Based in Quebec City you will report to the Senior Manager of News & Current Affairs (Radio and Digital Services) and fulfil the role of Regional Lineup Editor on radio and digital platforms.
In accordance with CBC/RadioCanadas Journalistic Standards and Practices you will gather news write material select and edit audio clips take reporters in the field to air and read the regional radio newscasts.
The successful candidate must also write and edit digital articles manage the various digital lineups publish the regional newsletter and update the website.
To be successful in this role you must be a strong team player with excellent leadership good editorial judgment and solid organization skills.
What you bring:
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Five (5) years journalism experience or equivalent
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of regional and national current events and issues
Good knowledge of world affairs
Broad general knowledge
Superior editorial judgment
Ability to work well in a team and exercise positive leadership
Excellent command of spoken and written French
Highly organized so as to meet tight newsroom deadlines
Understanding of CBC/RadioCanadas Journalistic Standards and Practices
Knowledge of production techniques
Thorough knowledge of newsroom logistics
Strong storytelling skills across multiple platforms
Knowledge of CBC/RadioCanada production applications (Dalet Media Central and iNews)
Good proficiency in spoken and written English is an asset
