Job Description

Alden School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Adjustment Counselor for theschool year.

Responsibilities:

Consult with administration teachers support staff and families to support the emotional and behavioral needs of all students

Support students as they build coping skills and develop resilience in order to better manage challenges

Strengthen the home to school partnerships to bolster student success

Serve as a resource for families to access community based services

Collaborate with outside therapists to increase effectiveness of interventions

Requirements:

Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor All Levels

Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university

Experience meeting the socialemotional needs of students in grades 35

Citizenship residency or work visa required

Salary based on the currentDuxbury Teachers Contract.
