Advertising Core Services (ACS) organization owns services supporting many functions across the advertising lifecycle like Accounts Permissions Campaign Management Billing Supply and Traffic Quality Analytics and Availability and Quality Assurance etc. Our top focus areas are to innovate on behalf of our customers support partner business launches and improve our engineering systems for feature velocity availability performance and scale. This role will see you collaborate with a large number of teams across WW Advertising to drive key initiatives to improve resilience of advertising systems.

Youll become part of a highly motivated team of talented multifunctional builders (front and backend developers) who can collaborate with product managers technical specialists and principals across the company. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity thats higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that havent been solved at scale before anywhere. You will encounter challenging novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative youll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. Key Technical Challenges:
Distributed and Scalable Architecture: The global Ads Availability team owns Tier 1 critical service infrastructure that forms the backbone of Ad serving. We have enabled this service infrastructure across multiple regions and Availability Zones.

High Availability: This role will provide critical support to the Global Ads Availability team that owns a key Ads wide Availability framework. It is critical to ensure that this framework remains highly available. High Availability architecture will help us make sure that the system is configured to handle different loads and different failures with minimal or no downtime.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
