OverviewAnsible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Pathologists to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System located at 4100 Allequippa St Pittsburgh PA 15240. Shift scheduling is generally MonFri 7:00am3:30pm with no call or holidays. Fulltime and Locum Tenens positions with generouscompensation packages are available.

Responsibilities- Performing surgical pathology gross microscopic and final diagnosis rendering along with coding of surgical reports with pathology in rotation with other pathologists. Surgical pathology receives biopsies small specimens skin specimens and complex resection cases in genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems biopsies and small surgical cases from orthopedics podiatry and ENT services.
- Provide intraoperative consultation to surgical services.
- Perform fine needle aspiration biopsies provided diagnoses in rapid onsite evaluation for CT guided and EBUS guided fine needle aspiration biopsies provide diagnoses on gynecologic and nongynecologic cytology specimens.
- Preform autopsies with pathology trainees.
- Participate in prospective peer review and retrospective review of 10% cases when needed.
- Perform review and interpretation of serum and urine protein electrophoresis.
- Additional responsibilities may include oversight of a section of the laboratory providing clinical consultation services and oversight of the QA/QI of the department.
- Participate on hospital/departmental committees and hospital/departmental conferences as needed.
- Provide consultation to Medical Center and laboratory staff in matters of test utilizations technical and result interpretation.
Qualifications- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology
- Active full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State Territory Commonwealth or the District of Columbia
- NPI report printout
- Active DEA license
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
