Description

Position at Pilgrims

This position is responsible for supervision of drivers.

Essential Duties:

1. Communicating with drivers on loads DOT logs and hours of service.

2. Assign loads.

3. Oversee drivers and resolve problems that may arise.

4. Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

12 months of dispatch experience

6 months experience with Microsoft computer programs

Working knowledge of truck load transportation

Knowledge of DOT Regulations regarding logs and hours of service

Good organizational skills

Able to work Monday thru Friday and every other Saturday

Good attitude towards drivers and ability to work well with drivers

Ability to make decisions and follow policies

Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations that are related to the job

Ability to multitask

Valid CDL license Dependability a must

Able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol test

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED; fouryear degree preferred but would consider a combination of education and work experience.
