Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on Environmental health & Safety (EHS) issues ensuring compliance on site safety matters.
- GE EHS Management system element ownership and support Key knowledge and support for EHS Framework functions.
- Conduct regular inspections and track findings through to closure.
- Provide direct internal support and leadership of EHS to your assigned business operation(s).
- Develop provide and conduct training and educational programs to reinforce EHS awareness.
- Undertake and lead accident investigations ensuring cases are logged and corrective actions are managed.
- Support business needs out of hours conduct forums and follow up on concerns
Essential Requirements
- Experience in an Environmental &/or Health & Safety role
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of environmental and Health and Safety Legislation.
- Strong IT/ and data analysis skills.
- Proven experience and background with EHS management system programs
Desirable Requirements
- Ability to prioritize workload commitment and multitask.
- Strong team player and ability to interact/ communicate well with a wide variety of functional groups within GE.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with engaging and working closely with senior leadership team members
