Software Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Type: FullTime(on site flexible hours)
Salary: circa 40k
Our client designs and manufactures hardware and software principally for use by researchers worldwide in the field of neuroscience pharmacology and engineering.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a background in C in a Windows environment using MFC and stl.
You will be part of a small team of programmers producing and enhancing Windows applications for use in scientific research. This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and managing projects in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
Producing and maintaining Windows based applications
Provide support for customers using their software
Liaise with third party companies in order to interface the software with their hardware.
Liaise with third party companies in order to import their files into our clients software.
Working with the sales team to identify which direction to take the software development and which new features to prioritise.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
At least 2 years experience in C using MFC and stl.
BEng/BSc in Computer science
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of the field of neuroscience.
Experience in embedded systems programming particularly with ARM architecture.
Experience with Matlab
Knowledge of Python
