Amazon Canadas Hardlines team is seeking a selfdriven Vendor Manager candidate. Vendor managers work directly with vendors to improve value selection and convenience for customers across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for their category.

The candidate will use customer obsession and analytics to inform creative solutions to drive their business. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on . They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal crossfunctional partners such as site merchandising buying pricing inventory management operations online marketing and finance to drive performance for our vendor partners.
This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deeps dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Vendor Managers get the unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing buying planning/forecasting pricing and business analytics.
Key job responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading key categories and brand relationships in PC for and driving growth of the business. It includes building strong vendor and brand relationships contract negotiations selection and catalog inventory optimization forecast generation product launches pricing and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive growth for the vendor and . As the P&L owner you will also work cross functionally with other product marketing and operations teams across Amazon to raise the bar on customer experience.
5 years of account management project or program management or buying experience
4 years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis retail buying retail planning & allocation product/project management pricing marketing or ecommerce experience
Bachelors degree
Experience driving internal crossteam collaboration
Experience with presentation organization and account/vendor management is preferred
3 years of doing one of several roles: management consulting investment banking analyst/associate or brand manager role at leading consumer packaged goods company experience
Experience in financial analysis retail buying retail planning & allocation product/project management marketing business development consulting negotiation or supply chain
