eBay is seeking a highly collaborative and motivated Consumer Insights Manager to join our growing Global Consumer Insights team. This role is a critical thought partner for internal business partners providing insightled recommendations to drive strategic decisions.

The position will report to the Head of Regulatory and Seller Insights and will focus on Regulatory Insights supporting eBays Regulatory Initiativea global effort to ensure seamless customer solutions that align with evolving regulatory requirements. You will work crossfunctionally across Legal Tax Product Marketing Customer Support Government Relations and other critical teams to shape consumercentric solutions that balance regulatory compliance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Insights Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design and execution of primary and secondary research (qualitative and quantitative) using the latest methodologies (e.g. agile research AIpowered insights).

  • Work closely with leading research partners and ensure high quality results

  • Partner with internal and external researchers to ensure bestinclass data collection synthesis and insight generation.

  • Deliver clear actionable recommendations to guide strategic decisionmaking across multiple business functions.

Storytelling & Communication

  • Synthesize and distill complex consumer insights into compelling narratives that drive executivelevel decisionmaking.

  • Present research findings with confidence clarity and impact to senior business partners and teams across the organization.

  • Provide databacked strategic guidance that shapes eBays regulatory and business approach.

Executive Partnership & Business Impact

  • Build positive relationships with leaders crossfunctional teams and regulatory partners.

  • Understand and navigate cultural and market differences ensuring insights are globally relevant yet locally actionable.

  • Drive thought leadership influencing initiatives through customercentric insights.

  • Advocate for the voice of the customer ensuring insights inform policy product and business decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of relevant working experience in consumer insights market research conducting research globally and specifically in Europe

  • Experience in regulated industries would be an asset. ideally within ecommerce tech.

  • Demonstrable experience designing planning and running primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research and using the latest research techniques (eg agile AI). Strong qualitative research skills preferable.

  • Executive presence and the ability to influence business partners at different levels of hierarchy

  • Excellent storytelling communication and data visualization skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize efforts and resources and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Business sense with an ability to understand company strategy and external factors (such as regulatory developments in EU and US) and align insights work accordingly.

  • Clear succinct communication style. Able to explain complex topics simply.

  • Fast and selfmotivated learner with ability to get up to speed fast on new and different challenges or areas of the businessand in the changing regulatory environment

  • Proficiency in English is ; German skills are a plus.
