Job Summary:This position works with the AVP to uphold and strengthen the efficiency of the admissions data flow from the origin of a student record through enrollment. This position will work primarily in the Slate Admissions CRM system. Additionally discern work priorities meet deadlines with little supervision provide outstanding customer service and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of system upgrades and enhancements and act as designated Slate captain for Admissions
  • Active participant in the Slate community of users to identify best practices trends and new opportunities for workflow and system enhancements to streamline processes and increase effectiveness of the tool
  • Ensure that new users and new programs are added to the system as appropriate and provide baseline training to new users and ongoing training to all users
  • Develop and maintain methods to streamline data imports from internal and external constituents and develop strategies for data collection improvements
  • Build test and maintain Slate events automated Slate communications and decision letters
  • Manage student record updates in Banner as needed and maintain the data bridge (Axiom) between Slate Admissions and Banner
  • May perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Team player with a collaborative style and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) that enables positive interaction with prospective students their parents and a wide range of campus constituents.
  • Detail oriented and goal motivated with the ability to successfully accomplish projects with little supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to use a variety of methods and technologies for communications.
  • Provide outstanding customer service be an enthusiastic professional and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to the mission and vision of MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Knowledge of higher education and the admissions process is desirable
  • At least 1 years of CRM experience (ideally with Slate) is desirable
