As part of a major expansion of its research programs the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenuretrack position.
The Faculty of Education is located on the unceded ancestral territories of the AnishinaabeAlgonquin people in the heart of the nations capital. Title of the Position: Physical and Sports Activity Education Health and WellBeing (French programs)
We are seeking to hire a dynamic professor to teach and conduct research in the fields of physical education health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all three levels (undergraduate masters and doctoral). Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience of the Ontario elementary and secondary school curriculum Canadian competencies as well as international trends and associations. The successful candidate will demonstrate innovation inclusion and creativity in various teaching contexts such as online inperson gymnasium and outdoor learning environments; and critically situate physical education health and wellbeing within a broader physical activity for life orientation.
Duties: The functions of a member of the academic staff include in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities revealed by research artistic or literary creation or professional work; c) academic service activities d) supervision of graduate students.
Terms: Tenuretrack position (Assistant Professor)
Wage: Salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $99377 (as of May 1 2025)
