We are seeking a Program Director (Data Centre) for our client a leading data centre developer to lead the planning and delivery of data centre projects. This role ensures alignment with business goals while optimizing efficiency driving innovation and delivering value through effective programme and supply chain integration.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Align programme schedules with overall business objectives.
- Oversee all projects within the programme to drive economies of scale and operational efficiency.
- Foster effective collaboration with stakeholders ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution.
Master Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain a master programme schedule coordinating across projects to maximize resource efficiency (including consultants contractors suppliers and internal teams).
- Establish baseline schedules for individual projects integrating input from all parties.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of interdependencies across all project phases.
Risk Management:
- Create and implement a programmelevel risk management framework.
- Lead efforts in identifying analyzing and mitigating potential risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
Organisation & Communication:
- Define and implement communication protocols including RACI charts to clarify responsibilities across the programme team.
- Standardize project planning templates and terminology aligned with the overall programme plan.
- Define key project stages milestones and critical paths.
- Coordinate with project managers to optimize project timelines and .
- Review and adjust individual project schedules as needed for alignment and efficiency.
Procurement:
- Develop and maintain a robust supply network including prequalification of contractors consultants and critical equipment suppliers.
- Negotiate and manage Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Oversee procurement planning and across the programme.
Financial Management:
- Support the development of individual project budgets based on MSAs.
- Plan and monitor project cash flows.
- Track and manage forecasted final project costs against approved budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture Civil & Structural Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; postgraduate diploma or Master's in Programme Management is an advantage.
- Over 15 years of experience in data centre project management or design consultancy ideally with experience in missioncritical and campusscale developments.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities.
- Strong capability in human resource and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing greenfield data centre construction and operations is highly desirable.
- Effective decisionmaker with strong problemsolving and capacity planning skills.
- Resultsoriented with proven planning and capabilities.
- Ability to travel.
