What is the role that we need
Key Responsibilities:
The Management Company Accounting Team an integral part of the broader Harvest Finance Team is responsible for the accounting reporting and operational activities of the firm s four management companies. As a member of the Management Company Accounting Team at Harvest your main responsibilities will include:
Manage the entire Accounts Payable process from start to finish overseeing two outsourced AP professionals
Maintain and manage overall vendor relationships
Manage the wire template process to ensure all vendor banking details are accurately reflected in Harvest s banking platforms and AP system
Prepare quarterly billings to portfolio companies and Harvest Funds and track receivable balances
Manage the tax payment and reimbursement process working closely with tax team
Preparation of quarterly Commercial Rent Tax Calculation and payment
Annual CT Corp (registered agent) and DE Franchise Tax Fee process
Annual 1099 process
Maintain Harvest s Legal Entity Master ensuring completeness and allocation designation
Concur Expense Administrator
Expense budgeting and analysis for vendor spend
Prepare /review various allocations of thirdparty service providers
Assist with monthly close process annual expense budgeting and forecasting
Interaction with various teams across the Firm
Participate in technology and process initiatives
Assist Finance Funds team as needed
Ad hoc requests and projects
Requirements
Job Requirements and Credentials:
Essential (MUST HAVE)
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills
Minimum of 6 10 years of relevant experience in public and/or private accounting with a focus on private equity
Prior experience with Private Equity Funds or Management Company fund administrator
Ability to own and complete various workstreams provide valuable insight and assist with initiatives.
Ability to delegate tasks with clear responsibilities deadlines and deliverables.
Understanding of legal entity structures and allocations of costs grasping allocation methodologies and following processes
Overall understanding of accounting process flows and how information gets reflected in general ledger from other systems ensuring consistency
Proactive and positive mindset; ability to contribute and improve efficiency in all areas
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; analytical mindset
Desire to work in a challenging fastpaced environment ask questions and challenge the status quo
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior organizational skills ability to prioritize and multitask
Team oriented and collaborative within Finance and across all internal groups within Harvest Partners
