Description

The Director Global Tax Accounting reports to the Sr. Director Global Tax Accounting & Technology and will oversee a team of tax professionals responsible for global tax accounting. We are committed to providing a technology infrastructure to enable tools and resources for process optimization. This role is a key contributor and leader to the global tax accounting operations and is principally responsible for governance review and modeling of tax provisions of the global company. The Company operating structure is decentralized with several finance organizations and multiple ERP systems. For this reason effective collaboration with the tax technology team and the local finance teams are required to ensure necessary data is available with high quality and timeliness for the overall process. Your role includes the following:

  • Servant Leadership:With an inclusion and diversity mindset lead and develop teams responsible for ASC 740 reporting. In addition the role is expected to welcome contributions and foster collaboration from across the global tax function.
  • Income Tax SEC Reporting: Ensure we establish and continually enhance our process and control design for ASC 740 reporting and compliance with SarbanesOxley. In addition work effectively with external financial statement auditors to ensure timely completion of tax components of SEC reporting. Ensure thorough review or preparation (as needed) technical memoranda required to support financial statement records are anticipated and prepared with high quality. Knowledge around acquisition accounting is critical for this role.
  • Process Optimization: Drive standardization and automation of global tax accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. Ensure alignment between tax reporting processes and broader finance and business strategies.
  • Organizational Stakeholders:Develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the corporate organization including those responsible for financial reporting forecasting and internal audit.
  • Collaborative Planning and Strategy:Collaborate and liaise with the global tax organization and stakeholders regarding the tax accounting impact of transactional work within the company.

  • Grow your subject matter expertise across tax through research and analysis for our everevolving business.
  • Actively participate in projects that enhance our tax technology tool kit.
  • Be supported in efforts to continue your training stay current in tax developments and establish yourself in the tax community.
Qualifications & Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree required preferably in accounting finance or related field
  • Masters in taxation or accounting preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 10 years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience in income tax including progressive experience in global tax accounting for multinational corporations.
  • 3 years of functional leadership within the tax organization of a large multinational company
Skills&Competencies
  • Experiencewith taxsoftware(e.g. CorpTax) MSFT Office Suite efficiency tools (e.g. Power BI PlatformAlteryx) and tools for consolidation and reporting (e.g. OneStream Workiva).
  • Strong technicaland analyticalskills with the ability to translate complextaxaccounting concepts into actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated success of servantleadership and development of a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASC 740 and SarbanesOxley requirements; including experience with transactions with unique business facts and ability to navigate to resolution for the ASC 740 outcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate facts and conclusions at a high level in addition to a willingness to explore detailed analysis to ensure ASC740 requirements for complex fact patterns are correctly applied
  • Demonstrated communication skills with ability to interact with effectively with external stakeholders and senior management throughout the organization.
