SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a safe and fun faithbased environment for our Day Camp Programs. This includes but is not limited to direct supervision of children as well as program planning and implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SEASONAL CAMP:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must be able to support the beliefs of The Rock Academy and The Rock Church through conduct and conversation. Must be 18 years of age undergoing professional preparations to be a leader of young children or have experience working with young children. Warm and friendly personality be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with program goals.
DISCIPLESHIP:
Individuals must represent Christ in their actions and conduct. Being ready and able to teach and mentor students in practical ways in the biblical worldview.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to parents children and other staff members.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS: Criminal record clearance obtained by fingerprinting or record clearance prior to reporting to job assignment including a signed statement regarding criminal convictions. CPR and First Aid Certifications obtained within 10 days of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Individuals must be able to lead and participate in active sports and games with children. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally small children in an emergency. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
