LOCATION OF POSITION

MDH Behavioral Health Administration
Spring Grove Hospital Center
Catonsville MD 21228

Main Purpose of Job

This position supports statewide implementation of behavioral health programs and services for individuals engaged in the criminal justice system. These programs provide behavioral health treatment alternatives to incarceration detentioncenterbased mental health and substance use disorder treatment and support services for reentry back into the community postincarceration. This position assists the Program Manager with program contract development (Statements of Work) review approval and monitoring; program budget review and monitoring; technical assistance to improve programs and services correspondence with Local Behavioral Health Authorities/Core Service Agencies and other stakeholders project management. This position also plays a critical role in identifying best practices and conducting research and projects related to the program areas and other duties as assigned.

This position supports the following programs within the Division of Urgent and Acute Care: Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Maryland Community Criminal Justice Treatment Program (MCCJTP) Drug Court Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Substance Abuse Treatment Outcomes Partnership (STOP) Reentry and the Trauma Addiction Mental Health and Recovery (TAMAR) Project.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a healthrelated program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a yearforyear basis for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the healthrelated field of work on a yearforyear basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree.
