- Completion of a four (4) year degree in a related field such as Engineering Architecture Business or Project Management and a minimum of six (6) years directly related experience in project management for municipal planning design construction or an area of specialization

- Completion of a two (2) year diploma in a related field such as Engineering Construction Architecture Project Management or Trade Certification and a minimum of eight (8) years directly related experience in project management for public administration design construction or an area of specialization
Assets:
- Course work/training/certification in project management change management facilitation/engagement training/education process improvement service design and/or leadership training

- Change Management and Transition: This role will be responsible for assessing the readiness of the department to adapt to the change and transition the organization to the required changes to ensure results are effective and functional. Conditions of Employment:
- Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position. There may be a cost associated with this requirement
- Valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license (or provincial equivalent)
- You will be required to arrange your own transportation for use while on City business. Where appropriate you will be reimbursed for expenses related to that travel in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. You will be required to obtain business auto insurance.
Work Environment:
- Note: This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52

As SCPI Project Manager you will be at the heart of transforming Edmontons safety code services. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of created and assigned projects ensuring deliverables objectives and outcomes are met. This involves leading project teams managing project scope budget and timelines and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Your focus will be on driving improvements that result in enhanced consistency quality and efficiency for applicants and across city branches and departments. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking handson project management and exceptional communication skills to navigate complex projects and diverse stakeholder interests.
What will you do
- Manage the planning design and/or delivery of SCPI related projects
- Lead various sized project teams ensuring effective collaboration and alignment

- Develop and implement risk management strategies
- Develop and steward relationships with internal and external stakeholders
