Job Description
The State College Area School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Instructional Paraprofessional to support the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program within our Career and Technical Center (CTC). This position involves working closely with the ECE teacher and students to facilitate classroom activities provide supplemental instructional support and assist with clerical tasks and documentation necessary for CTC ECE program offers students the opportunity to explore careers in childcare and education through our comprehensive ECE pathway. A key aspect of this role includes assisting with the handson experience of educating and caring for 10 preschool children in our Little Lion Playroom. The work is dynamic offering a range of rewarding and varied opportunities to make a direct impact on students learning and growth in early childhood education.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with strong written and verbal communication customer service organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently as well as within a team. Experience in working with high school students is preferred. Basic skills with software and technology are necessary.
