SUMMARY:
Hudson Public Schools is seeking a Coordinator of School Counseling. The Coordinator of School Counseling is the leader of the School Counseling Department for both Quinn Middle School (grades 57) and Hudson High School (grades 812). Additionally this role coordinates the Early College Program supports secondarylevel social emotional learning (SEL) initiatives and serves on the high school leadership team. This position has a critical role in monitoring the quality and continuity of school counseling services and programs at the secondary level and ensures that students families staff and community have access to the needed information to benefit from the full breadth of department programming and services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the supervision and evaluation of all school counseling department staff following the Massachusetts Model System for Educator Evaluation.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Massachusetts DESE license School Guidance Counselor (Grades 512); Supervisor/Director (School Counselor) and/or Assistant Principal/Principal (512)

While performing duties of this job the employee must often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee may be required to occasionally traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands to finger handle or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. a calculator copy machine and computer printer). The employee must be able to input information into a computer and as well as read material from a computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or without visual aids. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students staff members and the public in person and on the telephone.

The noise level in this environment is quiet to loud depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day and location. The employee interacts with parents staff members and the general public. The employee occasionally must meet multiple demands from several people.
