Job Description
CBRSD is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent effective July 2025. Under the direction of the Superintendent the Assistant Superintendent will support the daytoday operations within schools provide leadership to building administrators support educator evaluation and maintain highquality educational programming for all students. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for implementing the Districts strategic vision by promoting continuous school improvement with a focus on teaching and learning professional development and community engagement. The Assistant Superintendent collaborates closely with the Superintendent the Director of Finance and Operations the Director of Student Services building principals and the full administrative team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Massachusetts Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent certification.
- Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- A combination of at least ten years of experience in teaching and building administration with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a building principal.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups including staff parents/caregivers and the general public.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students staff families and the community
- Ability to work as a member of a highly functioning team
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; wellorganized and experienced in facilitating group decisionmaking and communication.
- Working knowledge of relevant technologies including managing AI in school settings.
- Broad working knowledge of child development equity and inclusion social emotional learning learning theory curriculum research testing and measurement data analysis strategic planning and personnel practices.
- Broad experience in developing and implementing inservice and staff development programs.
- Effective administrative and management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ROLES
:
- Guides the development implementation and evaluation of student programming that supports equitable services for all students.
- Interprets policies and regulations and works with department administrators to resolve issues in a targeted and timely manner.
- Performs as liaison between district staff families students professional associations and communitybased organizations.
- Prepares and monitors grants.
- Analyzes data identifies trends to ensure highquality educational opportunities for all students.
- Assists in organizing and coordinating Instructional Leadership meetings to affect horizontal and vertical continuity throughout the district.
- Provides leadership for collaboration among staff to ensure that resources and support are prioritized to meet individual school needs.
- Works to ensure that all students experience safe and healthy environments necessary to achieve success.
- Serves upon assignment by the Superintendent in general administrative areas.
- Attends School Committee meetings and prepares reports for the Committee as requested by the Superintendent.
- Works collaboratively with the Superintendent and Director of Finance and Operations to develop budget recommendations for the School Committee.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign.
- Assists with supervision and evaluation of instructional staff.
- Oversees the Districtwide Teacher Induction Program.
- Management of the Districtwide Health and Safety Plan
CONTRACT/SALARY: To Be Negotiated:$125000$135000
